How does a car auction work??

Is there a fee you must pay to get in?? And also if I have a car thats wrecked (right front end) but still running will a dealership take it as a trade in??

1. in my state of minnesota it depends on what kind of an auction but if its a repo auction you need to have a dealers licnese to get in and buy. Dealer might take your car but you probally wouldnt get much from it.
